Fibreglass Roofing Systems
Fibreglass has been around for many years but in recent years it has been adapted to use as a flat roofing system, with mixed results. Over the years, R G Leverett Ltd have replaced many badly installed fibreglass roofing systems, which have usually been installed by ill trained operatives, who are not skilled in the roofing industry. R G Leverett Ltd are always open to new high quality roofing systems and when we were asked to install the Polyroof 185 glassfibre reinforced polyester (GRP) composite roofing system we took a great deal of time to research the system to ensure that it was a high quality roofing system that we would be proud to add to our portfolio.
Polyroof 185 complete glassfibre reinforced polyester (GRP) composite roofing system is the UK’s market leading fibreglass roofing system. Some 10 million square metres have been laid in domestic, commercial and industrial applications since the produce was first launched back in 1984. It is widely acknowledged as a quality bench mark and is specified for refurbishments and new builds by a range of professionals across the UK, including Housing Associations, Architects and Local Authorities.
Polyroof 185 was the first GRP roofing system to receive BBA approval for:
- All flat roofs and box /valley gutters
- New build or refurbishment
- Seamless
- Cold applied, which makes it particularly well suited to heat sensitive areas
- 30 year durability rated by the BBA
- 20 year insurance backed guarantee
- Withstands regular foot traffic
- Excellent option for balconies and walkways
- Impact resistant and vandal resistant
- Warm or cold roof specifications
- Available in a range of colours and finishes
Polyroof 185 is not a coating but a complete composite roof deck system. Unlike some of the lesser fibreglass systems on offer, the Polyroof 185 GRP roofing system is based on specifically developed flexi-resins that fuse together with the reinforcement to form a tough, impervious skin, which is applied to a substrate of high-grade plywood. This allows the roof deck to accommodate the normal structural variations and regular foot traffic, whilst the durability of the product makes it particularly suited to balconies and walkways, without the need for costly balcony tiles.
Polyroof 185 has been proven to be technically superior to all other fibreglass roofing systems. This is why Polyroof 185 is durability rated by the BBA for a full 30 years.
Polyroof 185 GRP roofing systems can only be installed by fully trained approved specialist contractors. R G Leverett Ltd staff have all completed the approved Polyroof training courses and we are proud to be able to add this quality roofing system to our portfolio.
