What to Do If the Wind Has Blown Tiles Off Your Roof
Strong winds can be rough on roofs - especially if the tiles are already a bit worn or loose. If you've noticed tiles on the ground or something just doesn't look right up there, here's what we'd recommend.
First things first - don't try to get up there yourself
We totally get it - you want to see what's going on. But climbing up on the roof (especially after bad weather) isn't the safest idea. Loose tiles and gusty winds are a risky combo, so it's best to stay on the ground and let someone properly trained check it out.
Give us a call
We'll pop round and have a proper look. We'll check how many tiles have come loose, see if there's any hidden damage underneath, and give you a clear idea of what needs doing - no jargon, no drama.
Don't leave it too long
Even a couple of missing tiles can let water in, and once that happens, you're into leak territory - damp ceilings, damaged insulation, that sort of thing. It's always easier (and cheaper) to catch it early before it turns into a bigger job.
Check your insurance
If the damage happened during a storm, your home insurance might cover it. It's worth checking your policy or giving your insurer a quick call to see where you stand.
We know it's a headache when something like this happens - but we're here to make it as straightforward as possible. Just give us a call and we'll sort the rest.
