We’ve recently wrapped up a pretty special job - and it’s fair to say it’s not one you come across every day. Our team’s been working at Warner Bros Harry Potter World, installing a set of spiral ramp roofs that curve and twist their way around the building. It’s been a real challenge, but a satisfying one too.
A Roof with a Twist
Unlike your standard flat or pitched roof, this one had a bit of personality. Every section needed to follow a smooth sweeping slope, so precision was everything. We used tissue-faced PIR insulation boards to create a solid, even base, and finished the surface with a DANOSA waterproofing membrane to make sure it stays watertight for years to come.
The final stretch, known on site as the “D-ramp”, was the last big push to bring the whole structure together. Once it was done, the spiral roofline really came to life - a proper team effort that pulled everyone together.
Built to Last
This roof doesn’t just look the part; it’s built for performance too. The DANOSA system comes with a 25-year warranty, so the client can be confident it’ll keep doing its job long after the scaffolding’s gone.

A Great Team Effort
From start to finish, this one was all about teamwork. Our team worked hand in hand with the steel contractors, keeping pace as the structure went up and making sure every stage lined up perfectly. Seeing it all finished - and looking as good as it does - made those long days well worth it.
